These bulbs are very easy to germinate and grow. Plant the bulb up to its neck in the potting mix or soil, water it and keep in sunlight to provide a warmer temperature for better growth. Bulb should not be grown in a very small pot. It must have at least 4 inch soil under it for proper growth of roots. Give less water until the stem appears. Within 3 weeks, you will observe new leaves emerging from the bulbs.  When leaves appear, gradually increase watering in proportion to growing size of plant. But, we must keep in mind that over-watering may kill the plant. To remove any such kind of possibility, we must have sufficient drainage holes in bottom of the pot. Moreover, the soil must be mixed with perlite or any other drainage media. At this point, the plant will grow rapidly and flowers will develop after it has reached full growth.

The plant’s bulb can be dug out and can be preserved for future use. It does not have stem and its long leave originate from bulb and can attain Max . height of 2 feet. These plants are very hardy. These have fast growth rate. This plant is almost maintenance free. Even without fertilisers, this plant will show satisfactory growth. However, use of fertiliser shows faster growth and more blooming. It’s a long life plant. Its spiders shaped white flowers look very pretty and 3-4 flowers can also bloom together.

If leaves of this plant becomes yellow or damaged due to sun burn or any other reason, we should prune the leaves, so that new leaves may grow faster. After pruning, we must keep the plant in shady or filtered sunlight area, otherwise hot temperature may prevent its healthy growth. The plant keeps on producing new bulbs in soil and each bulb is capable to give birth to a new plant. If we plant this on open ground, it can grow horizontally in all directions by producing many new plants. We can separate each new plant and plant them at separate place. This plant is very easy to grow. If we have grown this plant and we don’t water it for months, its leaves may be dead but its underground bulb in soil remains capable to re-produce new leaves. Even with low level of atmospheric humidity (25% ), this plant continues to grow healthily.

Watering & Sunlight:

The plant can grow very well in diffused sunlight. If edges of leave are getting yellow, shift the plant to shady area. Over watering is to be avoided because this plant can survive without water for a longer time. But if give excessive water, its bulb & root may rot. Drainage in pot is necessary by making sufficient holes in bottom. To make the ideal potting mix, 20 % drainage media (river sand/ Leca/ Perlite/ Pumice or rice husk- use any of them) in potting mix should be available.  Whenever the soil becomes dry, please water the plant. If you grow this plant in shady area, its leaves will always be green. Due to more sunlight or temperature (more than 30 degree C), its leaves may burn.  But whenever climatic conditions will become suitable for this plant, it starts producing new leaves at very fast rate.
