Plant Height: 1 Foot
Colour of its leaves shows little variation as per availability of sunlight and temperature difference. It can attain maximum height of 6 feet, if grown outdoor on open ground or in a big pot. Plants taller than 1 feet need support of coir pole or supporting rod to stand erect. Stem of this plant is not strong enough to support plant (if height is more than 1 feet). This is a herbaceous long life plant. It likes normal room temperature.
Watering & Sunlight: This plant likes to grow in diffused sunlight, but we can grow as outdoor also, if atmospheric temperature is less than 250 C. Exposure of this plant to sunlight in higher temperature may cause sun burn of its leaves. Even with low climatic humidity (20%), this plant can survive. Drainage in pot is necessary by making sufficient holes in bottom. Whenever the soil becomes slightly dry, you can water it.
Soil: Water logging is to be avoided. To make the ideal potting mix, 20 % drainage media (river sand/ Leca/ Perlite/ Pumice or rice husk- use any one of them) in potting mix should be available. In rest of the potting mix, we should mix vermi-compost (25 %) and garden soil (55%).
Ornamental use: It can be used as indoor plant in home and offices.
