Leca stands for ‘Lightweight Exfoliated  Clay Aggregate’. Approximate weight of this largest sized 02 Ltr Leca will be 470 Grams. Leca will be sent on basis of exact weight of 470 Grams. The shown volume of 02 Ltr is approximate and it differs as per size of Leca.

Leca will be sent on basis of Weight. These large sized Leca balls (size 15 to 25 mm) are used in gardening, hydroponics and to cover soil of potted plants. These balls can absorb water upto some extent. Percentage of broken clay balls will be Approx 3% only. These balls are also used to make soil-less potting mix for Orchids, succulents, cactus and many more plants. All sizes of these balls are available with us. These are used as soil conditioner for plants and it retains water. It helps in better aeration and root growth. Due to availability of air cavities in these clay balls, they ensure proper exchange of gases in soil for better growth of plants. If you wish to use pebbles over the surface of potted plants’ soil, you must use these Leca balls (Approximately 20%) in potting mix. Because these clay balls can ensure better aeration of  rooting system, even after putting heavy load of soil/pebbles over them. However, if you are using only Vermiculite/ rice husk / Cocopeat powder as a component in your potting medium, there are high chances for blockage of root aeration due to heavy load of soil or pebbles over them.

These clay balls are light weight and also used in hydroponic horticulture. It is also used for providing better drainage in soil. It ensures overall better health of plants.

Ph value : 7-8, An ideal growing medium must not be too acidic or basic. pH value of these clay balls is neutral.
