Leaf size is just like Jade plant, but its new leaves remain in Pink colour for many days. It looks more beautiful than traditional Jade plant. The plant loves to grow in diffused sunlight in sandy soil mixed with vermi-compost. It produces its pink leaves at faster speed during winter season in presence of morning sunlight. This plant is not very easy to grow. Temperature higher than 350 C may harm this plant. Similarly, ideal humidity level for this plant is 40-60 %. Under unfavourable climatic conditions, leaves of this plant start shedding.
Watering & Sunlight: We must not water it too much in winter. Give water, only when upper soil becomes dry. It will help the plant to fight the extreme cold. We should water it after a gap of 3 days during summer season, if soil has become fully dry. Drainage in pot is necessary by making sufficient holes in bottom.
Soil: To make the ideal potting mix, 20 % drainage media (river sand/ Leca/ Perlite/ Pumice or rice husk- use any one of them) in potting mix should be available. In rest of the potting mix, we should mix vermi compost (20 %) and garden soil in equal ratio.
