Aglaonaema Lipstick plant has its unique leaves with perfect blend of Red and green. The plant gives attractive look in drawing room and offices. It shows best growth in diffused light. Its vividly coloured leaves attract everyone. The plant blooms rarely during summer.

Watering & Sunlight:     This is a shade loving plant, but we can grow in the sunlight during winter season. This plant prefers shady area with ventilated air and sufficient humidity (40% or higher). It can tolerate high temperature also, if atmospheric humidity is more than 30%. Must keep in shady and cool areas during summer. This plant likes misting, during summer. Regular misting of leaves will help the plant growth by making humid atmosphere. Moreover, such foliar spray will improve look of plants by cleaning of leaves. It is suggested that while misting, we should also ensure that the plant roots must not receive excess water while misting.

Soil:   Drainage in pot is necessary by making sufficient holes in bottom. Sterilised potting medium is must for its healthy life. To make the ideal potting mix, 20 % drainage media (river sand/ Leca/ Perlite/ Pumice or rice husk- use any one of them) in potting mix should be available. In rest of the potting mix, we should mix Cocopeat (40 %), vermi – compost (20 %) and garden soil (20 %) in equal ratio. We should never add bonemeal in potting mix of this plant, otherwise some harmful pests or pathogens may be produced. Liquid fertiliser on monthly basis may be given for better growth.
